JHMR To Replace Sublette Lift With New High Speed Quad

After a 37-year run and a proper party to celebrate its close, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has announced that it will replace its Sublette lift  with a faster and more powerful detachable quad chairlift ahead of the 2024–25 winter season.

The new lift will cut the riding time in half for skiers and snowboarders exploring the south side of upper Rendezvous Mountain. The original Sublette lift was built in 1987 Sublette has offered skiers and snowboarders some of the gnarliest inbounds skiing in North America. The lift ride offers overhead views to classic cliffs like Goalpost, Nightmare, and Daydream, and lines like the Alta Chutes for riders to heckle and awe whoever dares to step to these consequential lines and airs.

The new lift will cut ride time from eight minutes to four while climbing approximately 1,600 vertical feet at 1,000 feet per minute. JMHR will begin removal of the original Sublette lift and installation of its replacement this summer, marking the second major lift renovation in the past three years at JHMR after a new Thunder lift was completed in 2022.

Thanks, Sublette for many great years and many laps, and cheers to many more to come!
